Mark Scoggins is a former member of the Bar and an experienced advocate. Mark Scoggins and Charlotte Waters have full Higher Rights of audience in all courts and Alan Fisher has Higher Rights in all civil courts. We have conducted cases up to and including substantive trial. However, we acknowledge the added value of certain specialist barristers and will advise on their use if we think that is best for your case.

Can you handle international work?

A large number of cases over the years have concerned overseas claims or a foreign law element. We have experience of working with cases involving numerous overseas jurisdictions.

Do you accept criminal cases?

Yes, mainly in regulatory matters such as environmental, health & safety and manslaughter prosecutions.

Do you handle non-contentious work?

Yes but only in areas allied to our core practice.

How do you see yourselves in five years' time?

Much as we are now - we chose this practice model after being partners in small, medium and very large firms. It deliberately puts getting results ahead of growing the business income. Our doors are always open to like-minded experienced practitioners but we have an aversion to becoming a law factory or a lawyers' training school.
